- Sketch data: the drawings you create, titles, thumbnails, canvas settings, and related metadata needed to save and display your library.
- Subscription information: if you upgrade to Pro, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and limited billing identifiers, not your full payment card number.
- Support and feedback: information you send when reporting bugs, canceling a subscription, or contacting support.
- Usage and device information: basic technical data such as browser type, IP address, and logs needed to secure and operate the Service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Store and sync your sketches across sessions and devices
- Process subscriptions and manage billing status
- Respond to support requests and fix bugs
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers that help us run Sketchbug, such as hosting, authentication, file storage, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. These providers may access information only to perform services on our behalf.
- Legal and safety reasons if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
Current infrastructure may include providers such as Supabase (authentication and database), UploadThing (file storage), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
5. Data retention
We retain account and sketch data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and keep your credentials private.

Sketchbug is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update profile details in account settings and delete your account from the settings menu. You may also contact us to make a privacy request.
9. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
